As online communities become more “real” and virtual personalities emerge, these personalities must also be granted social status and rights. Society must foster a culture that encourages all humans to move freely from one place to another, and from one community to another.

Expected role of universities

Universities will take on the challenge of developing a legal framework that governs the rights of virtual personalities. This may come in the form of a new school that merges with engineering, such as the School of Cybercivil Law. In addition, universities will continue to develop students’ abilities to respect the values of others.
